If you have (or represent) a band with a website you would like me to consider for inclusion on this list, please e-mail me via the link at the bottom of this page (please state clearly in the subject header that you've come from this website). The reasons for including or not including musicians on this site are purely subjective so I don't guarantee anyone a listing, but it might be worth trying.

Suzy Mangion and Anthony Braithwaite and George

[ Back to contents page ]
Suzy Mangion is a singer-songwriter from Manchester (originally from Durham) in the UK. She writes, records and performs as a solo vocalist, and she also sings with her husband Anthony Braithwaite (as The Winter Journey) and with Piano Magic (a collaboration of various members and varying memberships that have included, among others, Miguel Marin) and Arbol (Marin's musical project since 2002). Previous to that she was one half (with Michael Varty) of the group George.

She is also my (ie site webmaster Francis Mangion's) sister. Anthony Braithwaite is her husband (my brother-in-law). I'm sure he'll be very happy to tell you his own history, perhaps at the MySpace page for The Winter Journey, so I'll leave him to tell that (he knows rather more of it than I do).

I'll give just a brief discography for her here; further details are available, on a regular basis, at Suzy's MySpace site and on the Pickled Egg record label site. These recordings should be available (or can be ordered) from your local record store or from your favourite online music retailer, but can also be bought directly from the Pickled Egg site via the above link.
