Singer-songwriter Gillian Welch is perhaps most widely known for her recordings on the soundtrack of the movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou". On her own albums, she is accompanied by the fiery guitar-playing of her collaborator and producer David Rawlings.

Welch and Rawlings have also recorded as band members of Old Crow Medicine Show.
