Singer-songwriter Gillian Welch is perhaps most widely known for her recordings on the soundtrack of the movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou". On her own albums, she is accompanied by the fiery guitar-playing of her collaborator and producer David Rawlings. Gillian Welch's official website has a detailed biography and discography, as well as a web store for her albums, with sound clips. According to the press kit on Gillian Welch's website, she has also collaborated with rock musicians like Ryan Adams (as The Esquires, a rock 'n' roll group together with Rawlings and with David England on drums), Ani DiFranco and ex-Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knopfler. Welch and Rawlings have also recorded as band members of Old Crow Medicine Show.
